Teryola
2022 Arabic Music Days
Musical Performance Trio 0Teryola merges traditional maqamat with extended playing techniques and combines percussion instruments and piano with the versatile sound of the ney. Curator of the Arabic Music Days Naseer Shamma finds Hany Baldry to be a “magician of the ney who transforms his instrument into a voice of both joy and sorrow. When he improvises, he seems to paint with the soul of the ney, and he has his very own way of entering into a dialogue with it.”
The concert will be available for on-demand listening soon after the livestream.
