Winterreise – Song Cycle on poems by Wilhelm Müller D 911

Few singers have immersed themselves more thoroughly in Schubert’s Winterreise than English tenor Ian Bostridge: with countless performances and multiple recordings to his credit, he also published an acclaimed monograph on the song cycle in 2015. For his first solo recital at the Pierre Boulez Saal, he is joined by Sir Antonio Pappano to perform Schubert’s “spinechilling songs”—as the composer himself once described them.
