As part of the Schubert Week, the Pierre Boulez Saal once again welcomed a group of young singers who are about to embark on an international career. Leading up to their recitals, these rising artists had been working on their programs with Thomas Hampson over the course of several masterclasses.
Mezzo-soprano Marie Seidler and bass Frederic Jost, together with Wolfram Rieger, opened this year’s festival. Both have been part of the Schubert Week’s workshop program in previous seasons.
For the third consecutive year, Thomas Hampson invited renowned lied singers and the most promising talents of the younger generation, together with their piano partners, to dedicate an entire week to the world of the Schubert lied—even in these challenging times.
This concert, followed by an interactive Q&A session, was streamed live on Monday, January 18, at 9 pm and will remain available for free on-demand viewing through April 30, 2021.

Casalot Catering welcomes Pierre Boulez Saal visitors before and after concerts, serving a variety of dishes of Arab cuisine.
On concert nights, the catering opens one hour before the start of an event and remains open after the performance. You may also place pre-orders for intermission right at the counter.

All wheelchair seats are accessible by elevator. All visitors, including patrons using a wheelchair, will enter the Pierre Boulez Saal through the main entrance. Tickets will be checked at the hall doors.

Restrooms for visitors with disabilities are located in the basement and on the balcony level and are accessible by elevator.
Four parking spaces for visitors with disabilities are available on the street Hinter der Katholischen Kirche.
