The biography of Catherine of Aragon (1485–1536) serves as the starting point of the Orlando Consort’s fascinating journey into the world of the Renaissance: in music and words, the British vocal quartet explores Catherine’s eventful and ultimately tragic life. The daughter of the King of Spain and wife of Henry VIII of England, she also made history as an influential player on the diplomatic stage of Europe’s rival monarchies.
