Joe Lovano—possibly the greatest tenor saxophonist of our time—comes to the Pierre Boulez Saal with his new Trio Tapestry. The ensemble’s name suggests the program: together with pianist Marilyn Crispell and drummer Carmen Castaldi, Lovano unfurls a veritable tapestry of innovative sounds.
